DetailsFCX in association with BAS, offer Land Rover Defender remap performance tuning upgrades for the Puma 2.2L TDCi Defender MY2012-2015 with a standard factory power of 122bhp and 360Nm. The Land Rover Defender 2.2 TDCI with an FCX-BAS remap boasts very good performance gains with an increase of upto 48bhp and 90Nm taking the 2.2 litre model to around 165-170bhp & 440-450Nm depending on application. The remapping can also include a raised or lowered speed limiter while tuning work is done if required. With all Defender 2.2 remaps we are offering you the option to buy a new “spare ECU” as part of the tuning package. The FCX-BAS tuning package is applied to the new ECU leaving your existing ECU totally standard and untouched for those trips back to the dealership for servicing. NOTE if this option is chosen you will need to have your own service indicator reset separately by your workshop or a third party if the tuned ecu is removed from the car when it goes in for service. As many of you know the Defender 2.2TDCi in many ways was an improvement over the Defender 2.4TDCi with regards to drivability however there are some issues that we have identified and improved, especially in the lower gears where torque was very much restricted and just where you want it! For many using the 2.2TDCi, towing around country lanes is a big issue – and our new remap helps here in providing greater power through the gears and not just at the top end. With ALL of our remap work we offer a dealer diagnostic check and engine management software update service before we make tuning to make sure your vehicle is up-to-date with Land Rover’s latest software patches, this is something that most companies don’t offer! As with all cars, BAS advise you follow a strict maintenance regime as advised by your car manufacturer, a correctly applied maintenance regime can make a difference to performance, reliability and in some cases economy.
